National April 26, 2021 LAHORE: Pakistan India Peoples’ Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) has welcomed the heartfelt concern expressed by the people of Pakistan for the people of India as they struggle to overcome the impact of Covid-19 pandemic which knows no borders or nationalities. The PIPFPD said it appreciates the Edhi Foundation offer for their support in offering healthcare assistance to the people of India. In a letter to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Managing Trustee Faisal Edhi, offered leading a health mission to India comprising 50 medically equipped ambulances and technical staff. The forum said the governments of the region have recognised the fundamental importance of working together, but the historical baggage of an unresolved past has repeatedly derailed cooperation. ....

Edhi Foundation provides free treatment to 7,983 patients in Lahore National April 5, 2021 LAHORE: Edhi Foundation (EF), Lahore, provided medical treatments and medicines to 7,983 patients from Edhi Free dispensary during the month of March. According to EF spokesman, the foundation shifted 397 injured to different hospitals and 174 dead of different accidents to various areas free of cost. The volunteers shifted 14,080 patients to hospitals from houses and 1,893 bodies to houses from hospitals. Around 224 persons admitted at Bilquees Edhi Home Gulberg and 84 of them were shifted to their homes by Edhi Ambulances. The volunteers had buried 27 unclaimed people. The Edhi Foundation provided free food to 11,247 people from Edhi Free lunger during the same period. ....
