At least two people died in the plane crash that shocked a quiet gated community in Monterey on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
The plane a twin-engine Cessna 421 crashed into a residence in the Monterra Ranch neighborhood around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities confirmed that no one was home at the time of the crash, but few additional details were officially confirmed about the incident some 24 hours after it occurred.
Though authorities have not officially identified either victim, the families of Mary Ellen Carlin, the pilot, and passenger Alice Diane Emig confirmed in multiple reports that neither woman survived the crash.
