The Jefferson County Council will likely deny a developer’s request to form a district that would levy an annual fee on homeowners in the new Polo Grounds subdivision in the Eureka area
The first phase of the McBride Berra residential portion of the Crestwood Crossing development was approved by the Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission April 6. The subdivision, named The Villages at Crestwood Crossing, features 81 homes, 24,000-square-feet of public space, a bridge over Gravois Creek and sidewalks throughout. The homes within the development are split.
The St. Louis County Council approved a new 26-acre subdivision off Fine Road in Oakville after developer McBride Berra Land Company made a concession to the Planning Commission. A zoning recommendation for the new subdivision in Oakville was delayed for a month while county planners went back to see if developer McBride Berra could increase.
The former Crestwood Plaza mall has a new developer: Dierbergs Markets and McBride Homes.
St. Louis-based grocery store chain Dierbergs and St. Louis-based residential homebuilder McBride Homes said Tuesday that they now have the site under contract, following months of negotiations with the Chicago-based owner, Urbanstreet Group. The city of Crestwood joined in the announcement.
The 47- acre property is located off Watson Road, just east of Sappington Road. For decades it housed an outdoor mall, then an indoor one, named Crestwood Plaza and then Crestwood Court. But the mall’s last stores closed in 2013. The site at the center of the city has been vacant ever since.
