The Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission looked at code amendments June 1 which could have a direct impact on residents. The first change was to fence requirements in residential and commercial zones. It identifies sight-proof masonry, vinyl or composite fences as allowable materials on residential and commercial lots, while requiring fences between residential and commercial.
The Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission had a second discussion June 1 about a proposed power of review ordinance in the city. The ordinance allows aldermen to vote to consider matters tabled by the commission if any alderman believes a tabling would jeopardize the matter. Aldermen amended the ordinance May 24 to require a two-thirds.
The first phase of the McBride Berra residential portion of the Crestwood Crossing development was approved by the Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission April 6. The subdivision, named The Villages at Crestwood Crossing, features 81 homes, 24,000-square-feet of public space, a bridge over Gravois Creek and sidewalks throughout. The homes within the development are split.
