Bell sentenced Maurice Kamgaing formerly of Charlotte currently residing in Archdale, North Carolina, to 33 months in prison for fraudulently obtaining more than $1.5 million in COVID-19 relief funds, announced Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. In addition to the prison term imposed, Kamgaing was ordered to serve five years under court supervision and to pay $1,454,296.14 in restitution.
