facility in up state new york. nbc news learned police is searching a wooded area 50 miles southeast of the prison. the two escaped murderers may have fled that direction after their escape over night friday. nbc news has also learned that this woman is being questioned by new york state police in connection with the prison break. her name is joyce mitchell. she and her husband both work at the prison where joyce is an instructor at the same tailor shop where the two men worked. abc news spoke with two friends who live near the prison. they say that shortly after the brazen escape they came face to face with the killers in their own backyard. so i go look at them and i see them. i ask them what the hell are you doing in my yard? get the hell out of here. and he was like, sorry, i don t i didn t know where i was. i m on the wrong street. now once you know who it was that you saw what are you thinking? lucky to be alive now. nbc s john ying is in new york and he joins
