About 3.11 million students aged 12 and up, or 80.65% of the total nationwide, have now received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine, a government spokesman said on Saturday.

The Education Ministry has decided to delay the opening of the new school term to June 1 over rising Covid-19 concerns.
Education Minister Trinuch Thienthong said on Tuesday the decision was made at a meeting with the permanent secretary and secretaries-general of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, the Office of the Private Education Commission and the Office of the Non-formal and Information Education.

SONGKHLA: The director of Thepha School in Thepha district, accused of raping a Mathayom Suksa 3 student and carrying a gun in public, has tendered his resignation.
Sangkorn Rakchuchuen, director of the Zone 16 Secondary Education Office, said on Monday that Sayan Chaleephol, 60, had submitted his resignation letter to the office on Friday, effective on Feb 15.
Mr Sangkorn said the letter had been forwarded to the Songkhla Education Office for approval.
He said Mr Sayan s resignation would not affect the disciplinary investigation already begun against him. If found guilty, he could be dismissed from government service.
