Art House Productions has announced “Virtual Access JC Fridays,” on Friday, June 4 at 6 – 9 p.m. online via Zoom. Jersey City’s premiere quarterly arts festival will showcase a variety of happenings including visual art exhibitions, music and dance performances, art demonstrations, and studio tours from 20 participating artists and organizations.

Access JC Fridays aims to be inclusive and encourages participants to present work from artists with disabilities and/or work that celebrates disability in its many forms. 55% of the presenters are showcasing work from artists with disabilities in their segments. ....

Art House Productions has announced casting for the Virtual INKubator New Play Festival, now underway through Wednesday, May 19 online via Zoom.
The festival will feature playwrights from the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 cohorts, including Kev Berry, Andrea Coleman, Izzi D’Esposito, Madeline Dennis-Yates, Nathaniel Foster, Alyssa Haddad, Aja Nisenson, SMJ, Christopher-Rashee Stevenson, Leila Teitelman, and Colin Waitt. All public readings are free for audiences and begin at 7:00pm EST. Audiences who attend the festival will also have the opportunity to participate in conversations with the writers, directors, and actors after each performance. ....

Art House Productions Announces Media & Music Summer Camp for Teens



Art House Productions announces the Jersey Art Exchange (JAX) Media & Music Makers Camp for students entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2021. The camps will take place Mondays – Fridays, July 5 – July 16, from 1pm – 5pm at 150 Bay Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302. Each track is led by a digital art, and/or music professional. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.
“I’m so happy to be running this program again,” says Program Director Jacqueline Arias. “It’s a perfect way for teens to spend the summer – exploring their neighborhoods and tapping into their creative spirit. We always have a blast!” ....

Art House Productions (Meredith Burns, Executive Director) is proud to announce their first audio play, Black Tom Island by Martin Casella. This free audio play is available for download on www.arthouseproductions.org and www.youtube.com/arthouseproductions. A free virtual panel discussion about the actual event featuring historians and the play’s creative team will take place on Sunday, February 7 at 3:00pm EST on Zoom.
Based on an actual incident that took place in Jersey City in 1916, Black Tom Island explores the first documented terrorist attack on American soil through the lens of a fictionalized Slovak immigrant and his wife who may or may not be involved in the attack.
