But right now, all lanes of northbound highway 101 are still closed after a deadly freeway shooting involving chp officers. The chp says the man who was shot and killed was initially involved in a road rage crash on northbound 101 in san mateo near highway 92. Investigators say after the crash the man got out of a car and pulled out a gun. Chp got there shortly after told the man to drop the gun. It happened around 3 15 this morning in the area of 4th street and farmers lane. As the officer approached the car, the driver took off. A pursuit followed and the driver ended up at a dead end on diamond court. When an officer exited their car, the driver of the other car shifted into reverse and slammed into the police car.
