For some yesterday. Inland temps are starting to inch up a little bit. We will see low to mid80s. Most slightly below average. Still 60s and 70s coast and bay. Not much change there. It is close unless youre one of the areas that get the 50s. 52 in los gat owe. 57 morgan hill. 59 campbell. San jose 77 and 5 today. This is at the airport. 81 57. West wind at west southwest at 21 out to the delta. Another breezy, blustery day. The on shore breeze in place. The fog in place. Which means it is tough to warm up in this kind of a pattern. High pressure is building slowly. We will get an inland warmup over the next few days. 60s and 70s and 80s up to clearlake. All right, sal. 7 01. I saw the bay bridge is packed there. It is packed. One of the things that made it that way, steve, was an earlier stall. It slowed traffic on the bridge. That slows traffic at the metering lights. When that happens, traffic at the macarthur maze is slow. It was backed up a little longer. Now as we pull back, it i
From lower lake with the latest. Leigh . Reporter ive covered a lot of wildfires picked this is the first time i have actually felt afraid. This fire has surprised us a few times today. Fastmoving, jumping locations quite often. This is downtown main street in lower lake. What youre looking at, fire on both sides of the downtown here. If you see that art deco building where the firefighters are trying to put out a fire thats behind it, these claims have been shooting up higher than the building at times, you see the dark smoke over there, then if you look over to the right, theres flames burning on the other side of the building behind this i dont know if you can see from this angle but there is dark smoke over there, visible flames from where i am standing. There is pink retarded all over main street right now. This is where they dropped the retardant to try to keep the fire back. No one is allowed on mainstream. On main street. There is fire on both sides. We got cut down on morgans
Say the least. This fire could still flareup and come back on this very same location and heres why. Though a hundred homes and businesses have been lost here in lower lake, the fast moving fire did not burn everything. A lot is still staning and therein lies the problem for cal fire and emergency services. The risk here is that even though the fire may not be burning directly in lower lake its those embers that are raining down sometimes half a mile to a mill. The fire gutted most of this maybe. But missed a lot of things including this lucky horse this even luckier turkey whose coop was not insincerityed. Plastic riding toy swing set Swimming Pool left untouched yet a few feet away an electric power pole was 90 burned through and still burning. Finally it too gave way. For those lucky enough to have a home to come back to it really wont be home until all the utilities and other services are fixed. Thats going to take quite a while. So theres still a lot of risk not only to lower lake
