good morning, everyone. thank you very much for joining us. i m jon kelley. i m marla tellez. a federal agent is fighting for his life after being shot step away from his east bay home and now we re learning more about the seemingly unlikely suspect and his ties to the agent s wife. christie smith is live in the bay area optical schools where the suspected shooter taught classes. christie, what s the connection to the victim s wife? reporter: well, good morning to you. i just spoke to the owner of the optical school, he said the suspect in the case was a teacher here for seven years all of the way until monday of this week. he says the suspect actually taught the victim s wife in this case and that she took classes here for several months. she was in a program at the bay area optical school in union city. this is the first day back for students since the shooting early tuesday, described initially as somewhat random after police arrested 61-year-old dennis bagwell o ....
