Jon Drozd, of Allegan, ranked first in Michigan in the H:Strip-Till, Minimum-Till, Mulch-Till, Ridge-Till Irrigated Class category with a yield of 307.5574 bushels per acre, according to a news release from the National Corn Growers Association. Marshall Landis, of Schoolcraft, placed second with a yield of 289.5291 bushes per acre. J.P. Clover, of Ionia, placed third with a yield of 284.9052 bushels per acre. The hybrid used in the winning field was DEKALB DKC54‐64RIB. The National Corn Yield Contest is sponsored annually by the National Corn Growers Association.
