Marshall Memo: Health Clinics Resume; School Flower Sales; Spring Clean-Up | News, Sports, Jobs

JIM COCHRAN The Marshall County Health Department will resume clinics and programs this month, including three that will start on Monday. These clinics have not been available since March 20, 2020, the result of COVID-19. Administrator Tom Cook said that some employees had provided services by appointments at the health department, while others had been in matters dealing with restaurants. All of the clinics and programs which will be back in service will be held at the health department at 513 Sixth St. in Moundsville. Some of the clinics will need appointments, the phone number of the health department telephone number is 304-845-7840.

Marshall Memo: Virtual Tours of Former State Penitentiary in Moundsville Set | News, Sports, Jobs

JIM COCHRAN If you haven’t been through a maximum security penitentiary you will have such an opportunity beginning April 1. The Moundsville Economic Development Council has made available such a tour without leaving your home or business. The new tour is the result of the MEDC purchasing equipment necessary for virtual tours. Those wishing to take advantage of such a tour will need a Facebook account. Person interested can contact the MEDC at 304-845-6200 to purchase a card which will be needed in order to make contact with the tour. Those on the “tour” will be able to ask questions from a tour guide.
