i m jessica aguirre. and i m garvin thomas. thank you so much for joining us. as the sun sets tonight, some relief from the heat across the bay area, it was a second day of record breaking temperatures. some parts of the bay area topping 100 degrees. chief meteorologist jeff ranieri has been tracking the rise in our temperatures and, jeff, we want to know when the temperatures are going to start to fall. well, tomorrow we ll begin to see some, at least a little bit of relief. we are on the downward side of this heat wave. and talk about hot. i know a lot of you know just from driving around in your car, just how hot it was. you can see livermore 106, danville 105, south san jose also at 104. so with all of this heat, the numbers have kind of tckled ver at 81. fremont 79. but notice right near the coast line we re dropping down to 60s here for mill valley into san francisco. it s part of some larger changes that eventually officially get here as we move through this week
