No escaping the scorching heat. This is one of the cleveland metropolitan schools that doesnt have airconditioning. And water was a hot commodity here last week as well. Multiple sources inside the school confirmed there were no working water fountains because the school is among dozens being tested for lead. This is my childs safety. Reporter one mother who asked me not to identify her told me on one of the hottest days last week she got a call from her son to pick him up beca extreme heat. When she saw him, her temperature began to rise. He was beat faced red, dripping sweat, his polo was drenched. I brought him home. He had heat exhaustion that he was so dehydrated. He drank four bottles of water when he came home. Reporter they are asked to provide water coolers for schools who have their water fountains turned off.
