LET offering free rides to vaccination clinics

LET offering free rides to vaccination clinics Lake Erie Transit is providing free bus transportation to and from area vaccination clinics for residents and workers in Bedford and Frenchtown townships and the Monroe area. Riders must show proof of their appointments, the company said in a press release. LET is joining the Michigan Public Transit System’s “Ride to Your Dose of Hope” along with more than 450 public transit companies in 41 states providing the service. To ride free to the first vaccination appointment, riders must show the bus driver the phone text from vaccine officials, said Mark Jagodzinski, general manager for LET. For the second shot, riders must present their vaccine card with the appointment scheduled. The offer covers all LET services. Riders taking the bus home from the vaccine site will ride free, Jagodzinski said.
