To the Editor: We are deeply troubled by the actions of Region 14 Superintendent Olzacki and Covid Coordinator, Mark Harutunian. Rather than invite front line teachers and staff to the Covid vaccination clinic designed for school employees and those in Phase 1b, they invited Board of Education members and individuals who do not meet this criteria to participate. In a recent communication to the community, Dr. Olzacki stated, “There is no script for the pandemic . we are forced to build and fly at the same time, which took place at the vaccination roll-out.” We disagree, there was a script for vaccination roll out: CDC, state and local health department guidelines.
