Employees in the Powder Coating line at Midwest Industries vacuated and no injuries took place. While there was damage to the facility the extent of the damage to the facility the extent of the damage is not fully known at this time. There was a great deal of smoke throughout the facility, however there was no other fire damage. Midwest is working to review damage and have already begun to plan repairs. A heroic statement from someone whos s contributions to the country will not be forgotten. Withthandens disability, there were a f f things that needed to be done to the Homebuilders Association of greater siouxland started the landen project as part of the project for patriots, a nonprofit helping make housing more accommodating to veterans. As part of the project, there will be 700 square feet added to the landens home. The remodel will include a lift, customized cupboards that provide landen with better access and bigger bathrooms. Well theyre just great people, and its the humility, and theyre so humble and deserving. This vis not something that they asked for, this is just one of those warm, fuzzy stories. There e ll be a fundraiser r the landen project on november 5th starting at 5 pm at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown sioux city. Its free and open to donations.
