Tremendous reporting. Should read their deeply sourced reporting about all of that. It is fascinating and devastating at the same time. Yes, exactly those two things, yes. Have a good weekend. You too. In august of 2020, donald trump was campaigning for reelection. We were in the throes of the covid19 pandemic. The summer saw a wave of protests and up risings over the murders of george floyd. To top it all off, the state of california was experiencing its largest wildfire season in recorded history. And it was that last crisis that prompted donald trump to say this during a campaign rally in pennsylvania. I see again the forest fires are starting. They re starting again in california. I said you have to clean your floors, you have to clean your floors. Many many years of leaves and broken trees. And they re like, like so flammable. You touch them and it goes up. I ve been telling them this now for three years. But they don t want to listen. The environment, the environment but they hav

Yesterday two elementary schools, city hall, dmv and the county court facilities had to close because of bomb threats. Today two elementary schools were evacuated and a middle school had to close. Yesterday the mayor of springfield told nbc news he believes these bomb threats are directly connected to the baseless rumors spread online in the wake of viral social media posts claiming haitian migrants were abducting people s pets in springfield in order to eat them. I should note that the claims about haitian migrants eating pets in springfield are lies. There is no evidence to back up any of those claims. But that does not seem to matter. Here s the thing, a week ago today, on all of twitter, there were only about 1,000 posts mentioning haitians, migrants or immigrants eating animals. Twitter i

taylor green. some have denied this ever happened. matt gates is under investigation in an alleged sex trafficking investigation. he has denied all wrong doing, he has not been charged. but according to the testimony we heard in the hearing today, matt gates was asking for one of those from the beginning of time for everything he has ever done kind of pardons. and, you know, that could be an interesting thing for prosecutors who are still looking at him and are still going to have to decide whether or not he faces these charges. it depends on what he told the white house his pardons were about. this could add complications to matt gates. at this point, these members of congress are saying that there s nothing to see here but, as you can tell from the testimony from people inside the white house, this actually happened. you mentioned mr. biggs mr. biggs did. mr. dornan talked about congressional pardons but he never asked me for one. mr. gomer asked for one as well and m
reentered the building. accounts vary as to what exactly happened next but it seems clear nicole bare s employees were let inside by an ally within the building. that would be a freshman member of congress from massachusetts jake. once on federal property colbert s employees did what they claim do which was disrupt the business of congress and apparently they were not subtle about doing it. they pounded on doors and yelled. whatever they did, it got people s attention. it takes an awful lot for a police force controlled by nancy pelosi to arrest a group of entertainment figures. but that s exactly what happened next. capitol hill police arrested seven colbert employees and brought them to jail. all seven of them were charged with unlawful entry. that s the identical charge that hundreds of january 6th defendants have been prosecuted for. but, unlike january 6th defendants colbert s employees were not sent to jail for a year and a half in solitary confinement they were release
