A statement from commercial manager Danni Jones said the station regretted posting the ads, and the posts “lacked respect”. “Bias, discrimination, sexual harassment, racism, or any forms of bullying within the workplace have no place within Ski,” she said. “It is clear we have caused stress and upset, and we are deeply sorry.” She said the station’s owner, Central Media Group, was undertaking a review into workplace practice. “We take responsibility for our actions and have certainly learnt from this,” she said. Ski FM broadcasts from Taupō to Whanganui. The job ads called for an intern and an on-air presenter. In its advert for an unpaid intern, Ski FM said it was an “Equal Opportunities Employer” and “our door is open to everyone”.
