A Kiwi radio station that joked about sexual harassment and disability discrimination in job advertisements has apologised.
The ads from Ski FM attracted backlash on social media when they were published on Instagram and Twitter.
In a screenshot of one advertisement, which has since been removed from the station s website, it advertised a position with a description that included: A workplace that likes a good laugh, and isn t too PC. You are going to love our sexual harassment Sundays (BYO).
The station, owned by former broadcaster Ian Stables, said it was conducting a thorough review of workplace practices after and that it was deeply sorry for the stress and upset the comments had caused.
Whistle-blowing Instagram account Beneath The Glass Ceiling (BTGC) drew attention to the job listings on Wednesday after they were shared online a day earlier by the independent station.
One post looking for a full-time on-air presenter stated that applications would love our MediaWorks inspired Sexual harassment Sundays (BYO), according to a screenshot shared on BTGC s Instagram Story. A screenshot of the original job listing on Ski FM s website.
