back there, and i just, like, it s very sad that it happened. i don t know why it did. reporter: police say the shooting occurred sometime overnight into this morning, but with nine people inside the home, somehow no one heard the commotion. nobody heard the shooting. and we re not going to get into reasons why right now, but that shooting did occur. it s horrifying. it s, yeah, i mean, especially in this, you know, like i said, this neighborhood. it s been really quiet and peaceful. reporter: neighbor bob langen shared with us what he ll miss the most. just in the driveway, summertime, you would hear their voices, you know. reporter: now, investigators do plan to work through this evening on this investigation. police say there is no manhunt under way and no reason for this community to be fearful. in the meantime, the community is planning a candlelight vigil for these victims to take place about an hour from now at 7:00 at the tabernacle town hall. live in tabe
instead was awakened by the sound of medevac choppers who landed nearby to rush the mother and son to cooper medical center. detectives went door to door looking for answers in the quiet rural neighborhood. they had to see if i knew anything. i told them i didn t hear anything or anything of that sort. reporter: no gunshots last night or this morning? no, i heard nothing. we believe all four shooting victims including the adult female and the children were shot with the same weapon. which is a handgun which has been recovered from the scene. reporter: police say all four family members were found in the same room. the mother with a gunshot wound to her head and no manhunt under way. children came to our house to play, and so i was just getting to know the mother and i know that they had some health issues. reporter: and just within the last couple l of minutes we can tell you the medical examiner has had the task of removing those children s bodies from the home
twice in a ten day period. new information this evening, police believe it s possible that the woman in these robberies was recruited by a man to commit the crimes, sometimes armed with a large knife and other times a handgun. she covered a lot of ground in south and southeast philadelphia hitting seven businesses in the last month. it gets more aggressive especially this time of your as we head towards the holidays. they captured the same female robber, dark hoody and a mask grabbing cash and leaving with the money. the most recent during the day at 1:00 p.m. last monday at the 50th street market. they identified an accomplice of 29-year-old antoine burgess, who can be seen on video giving the woman instructions before one of the robberies. in one of the videos she appears shaky. this male is a person of interest, we are looking for the public s help in getting mr. burgess into custody. they hope that the man will lead them to the woman that is terrorizing businesses.
