because of a two-car shootout about 11:00 last night here at the 76 in richmond. apparently that car was hit by an assault rifle and we heard reports that as many as 50 casings were found here at the scene. we are told that the men inside that tahoe tried to flee the scene during the shooting and in doing so that s when they crashed into what s called a gas service. that s what ruptured the gas line. now, because of this, guests at the 40 flags hotel next door to the 76 station had to be evacuated. chp had to shut down the freeway for about an hour while they were doing an investigation. now, we have heard one of the victims that was shot was taken to john muir hospital and we are still waiting to hear word on his condition. pg&e crew melamine i spoke to earlier said that pipeline just runs to businesses in the area doesn t run to any residence and there is no gas leaking from the line at the time so no safety issue in terms of the gas but we are waiting to find out wha ....

we re following some breaking news out of the east bay. ho mann e good afternoon, i m grace lee. we are following some breaking news out of the east bay. an elementary school in oakland is on lockdown as police search for robbery or carjacking suspects. a perimeter is set up on ygnacio and congress avenues. one person has been detained. it s not clear whether the suspects are armed. we ll follow the developing story. horace mann elementary school is on lockdown. federal investigators announced the cause of the deadly pipeline explosion in san bruno. in comes after a day of criticism for pg&e. as stephanie chuang shows us, there was much more blame and finger pointing to go around. reporter: almost a year later the explosion was right in my face and almost knocked me down. reporter: rick is still in disbelief over the september 9 explosion that killed 8 people in his san bruno neighborhood. he is still waiting for answers from pg&e. what did pg&e know? an ....
