In an interim relief, the Court ordered that FIRs against Chitale be transferred to Kalwa police station whereas those against Bhamre be transferred to the Naupada police station.
Marathi actor Ketaki Chitale, who was arrested for her disparaging post on Facebook against NCP chief Sharad Pawar, has been granted bail by a Thane Court.
She is currently facing nearly two dozen FIRs based on her social media post on Pawar and has earlier moved the high court for a stay on the police proceedings against her. Ketaki Chitale urged the High Court to quash the FIR, declare her arrest as illegal and violative of her fundamental rights and release her from jail forthwith. The plea is likely to be heard on June 10.
Dismissing Ketaki Chitale bail application, Judicial Magistrate First Class B H Parmar said the alleged offense was of serious nature, hence no relief can be granted.
