FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) Fresno police are investigating after a man was shot in southeast Fresno on Monday morning.
Officers responded to Pierce and Alta Avenues, off Willow Avenue and Kings Canyon Road, around 4:00 am after receiving reports of people shouting and a shot being fired.
Investigators found a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno, where he later died. His name has not been released.

It happened at San Pablo and McKinley Avenues just before 1:00 am.
Officers say the man was shot in the upper body. He was taken to a Fresno hospital and is expected to recover.
Investigators found two shell casings and say the suspect was last seen headed for Blackstone Avenue. No description has been provided.
Police interviewed witnesses and looked for surveillance videos that may have captured the attack.
Officials have not yet determined a motive for the attack.

Officers found a man in his 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds lying in the road on Calwa Avenue and 10th Street just after 1:30 am.
Paramedics and police performed CPR, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say they received reports from witnesses who heard people yelling and shots being fired.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) Fresno police have arrested a man wanted in a drive-by shooting that left a 38-year-old man dead in central Fresno.
Authorities say 26-year-old Sergio Sauceda Ochoa pulled up to a house on Echo and Voorman Avenues on December 25 and opened fire at George Garcia, who was standing outside at the time.
Garcia was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
Police say Ochoa was taken into custody for separate domestic violence charges on December 29.
