Community rallies to keep roof over Mama Tu-Tu’s head Updated Dec 15, 2020; Facebook Share JACKSON, MI – Wanda Beavers, or Mama Tu-Tu as she’s better known, was in danger of losing her southside Jackson home to foreclosure but she didn’t want anyone to know. Beavers is known around Jackson as a person who takes care of other people, offering hot showers, food, laundry and a place to sleep for anyone who needs it. Admitting she needed help this time wasn’t easy. But Beavers was nearly $3,000 behind on her mortgage and just started talking to Kelley Reynolds and her father Scott Reynolds when they stopped by her house to donate blankets for Beavers to handout to those in need.
