The Hampton City Council unanimously approved a pilot program to make the Mallory Street Bridge one way during the afternoon rush hour. It starts on April 1.
Hampton City Council members voted unanimously Wednesday night to move forward with a plan to help ease traffic jams on side streets stemming from the HRBT.
A pilot project will start in April in the City of Hampton, where the Mallory Street Bridge will only be used for one-way traffic from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. City officials believe it will ease HRBT traffic jams.
