On a humid Sunday afternoon at UCF Soccer and Track Complex, the UCF Knights defeated the Kansas Jayhawks 1-0 on a penalty kick goal in the 84th minute by Katie Bradley.
In the conference opener on Thursday night at John Crain Field, Kansas and Oklahoma played to a 2-2 draw. Two second half goals by Avery Smith and Olivia Page helped Kansas come from behind to earn the draw.
Kansas soccer heads down the road to play the Kansas City Roos on Thursday for its first of five-straight road matches. The match is set for 7 p.m. CT at Durwood Soccer Stadium and the game will be broadcast on the Summit League Network.
Four Jayhawks found the back of the net and Kansas defeated the Colorado College Tigers 6-0 at Rock Chalk Park on Sunday afternoon. Junior Raena Childers scored twice, redshirt juniors Hallie Klanke and Brie Severns and senior Avery Smith each scored a goal apiece and Kansas also took advantage of an own goal.
