After buzz in the community about an incident at the high school on thursday. Two teens, identified as 18 yr old Joseph Vanbuskirk and 19 yr old adam gerard. Showed up at yankton high, but didnt check in at the office. The usd students, who have no known connection to yankton, were kicked out and School Officials got suspicious. They contacted police who pulled the pair over on their way out of town. During an ientory search of the vehicle, two unloaded weapons were found in the truck of the car. Versus vehicle accidents at the level crossing between highway 77 and e street in thurston county. Today. There was another accident at that crossing. Fortunately. The driver of the car managed to get out before the train hit her vehicle. Authorities on the scene say they believe the car got stuck while crossing the tracks.
