He won a world title and the trophy to prove it, but it was the promise of keys to his very own home that left a World Wheelchair Bodybuilding champion speechless.
When Eyewitness News spoke to Kaluti in June, he was struggling to raise funds to go to Slovenia to go represent South Africa. Since then, several individuals have stepped up to help the man from the Eastern Cape.
The IBFF (International Federation of BodyBuilding and Fitness) champion, like many other South African athletes lacks the funding to represent the country and hopes he won’t have to miss another international championship.
Macethandile “Max” Kulati, a disabled bodybuilder from Kariega in the Eastern Cape, was crowned world champion after competing at the 2022 International Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation World (IBFF) Championship in Slovenia.
