Blustery out here at mavericks. Yet a handful of surfers are out here practicing as some were when the incident happened. Two men in a small boat decided to come out and watch and almost didnt get to go home. This is what is left of their small boat, wrecked on the jetty and still not safe from kra crashing waves. The waves were up to 18 feet in fight, rolling in every 20 seconds or so. One of those waves flipped the boat upside down, spilling the occupants into the water, they were not wearing life vests and were fortunate they werent seriously hurt or killed. When a boat overturns, most of the time somebody getting stuck underneath that boat or gets bumped in the head by something on that boat as it goes over and they were lucky to get away from the boat and not have that happen. It was a big boat and everybody had to scramble out of the way and there was nothing you could do. Reporter ben was nearby surfing when it happened. They pulled the men out of the water and the men were wet ....
Louise carlos had just bought the canoe a couple of weeks ago. He took his fiance and his brother fishing late yesterday afternoon at coyote point. His uncle told him the 12foot canoe seemed dangerous. I said i dont think its a good idea to go fishing, its awful small. The boat tipped over carlos jumped over and flipped it back and it flipped again. Reporter the three were kept afloat only by life jackets. At some point the young male decided to swim to shore to get help. Reporter hours later, a report from their family that they were missing. The coast guard in South San Francisco launched a searle and rescue operation. In the Early Morning they heard her cries in the dark for help. They rescued her. But half hour later, they found the body of luis. Then his father. Both died apparently of hypothermia. Workers at the restaurant were shaken by the news. The owner says he ....
