Pamplin Media Group - Police building nearing completion

Police building nearing completion February 02 2021 Staff is expected to move into the newly renovated building at some point this coming spring Renovation of the new Prineville Police Department building is nearing conclusion and will likely be occupied and functional this spring. They are finishing things up inside, then we are going to do some additional improvements outside to clean it up, said Sgt. James Peterson. The police department is converting a three-story medical building at the corner of Loper Avenue and Elm Street. It is currently surrounded by chain link fencing, and inside, workers have removed walls to enable creation of a new floor plan suited for police work.

Pamplin Media Group - Looking back at a unique year

Looking back at a unique year January 19 2021 Wearing a mask and streaming online, Prineville Mayor Jason Beebe delivers his State of the City address Newly elected Prineville Mayor Jason Beebe gave his first-ever State of the City address under unusual circumstances that seemed fitting as he highlighted the 2020 year. Unlike most addresses that are given in front of a seated crowd during a live city council meeting, the one presented by Beebe last Tuesday evening took place in front of a video camera with the mayor wearing a face covering. No members of the public watched the State of the City in person but were instead invited to view it online.
