The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce has announced that Mr. Sean Stockard was terminated in late December as its Chief Executive Officer, a position he held from November 2nd to December 24th. “After a series of unfortunate events, the Board of Directors lost confidence in Mr. Stockard’s abilities to perform the duties of the position for which he was hired.” said 2020-21 Chairman Logan Morris. The Chamber retained the services of Jorgensen Consulting, a premier Non-Profit Executive Recruiting Firm with 25 years of experience in that field, to identify and qualify candidates that aligned with the organization’s goals and mission. That process began in February of 2020, just two weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the nation and rest of the world. The line-up of schools competing this weekend at Randal Tyson Track Center normally would indicate a strong distance field along with an elite level distance medley relay. However, the women’s distance medley was canceled when the field became limited due to various circumstances.
“The mile, 3k and 5k are going to be heavily matched between Ole Miss and ourselves,” said Arkansas women’s head coach Lance Harter. “Oregon’s distance women are dealing with covid and knocked a bunch of them out. Colorado is focusing on March 15 for NCAA cross country, so we’ll only see a couple of their athletes.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Razorback Lauren Gregory earned co-SEC Runner of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office Tuesday, following her collegiate-leading performance of 9:01.44 to win the 3,000m this past weekend.
In leading an Arkansas sweep of the top six places in the Wooo Pig Classic race, Gregory’s time currently ranks fifth on the 2021 world list as she finished eight seconds ahead of teammate Logan Morris, who moved to No. 8 on the Razorback all-time list with a 9:09.45.
Gregory’s career best of 8:55.97, set in 2019, ranks third on the Arkansas all-time list as does her mile best of 4:32.92, also from 2019.

Arkansas boasts a whopping 21 top-10 marks nationally, including the top-3 spots in both the mile and 3000.
Krissy Gear leads the Razorback contingent in the mile (No. 1, 4:38.22), with
Logan Morris (No. 2, 4:39.01) and
Lauren Gregory (No. 3, 4:39.05) shortly behind. In the 3000, Gregory owns the top time in 9:01.44, followed by Morris (No. 2, 9:09.45) and
Katie Izzo (No. 3, 9:12.62). The Razorbacks also own the top time in the 4×400 (3:32.18). Other top performers come in the 400, 800 and pole vault.
The second-ranked Aggies come into the first iteration of the National Rating Index with nine top-10 marks. Leading the way is
Athing Mu, who clocked the fifth-fastest performance in collegiate indoor history in the 800 with her NCAA-leading time of 2:01.07 in her collegiate debut. Texas A&M also has strong performances early on in the jumps:

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks closed out the Wooo Pig Classic with a world-leading performance in the 4×400 relay in what may have been a preview of the NCAA Indoor final in March. It was one of many highlights in another team victory by Arkansas at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
A tally of 129 points earned the team victory for the Razorbacks over Texas (72), LSU (64), Southern California (53), Kentucky (51), Oklahoma State (33) and Missouri (31).
“We cap off a great day with the 4×400 and run 3:32 against a great field,” stated Arkansas women’s head coach Lance Harter. “USC, Texas and Kentucky are always greatly respected sprint powers.
