Eyewitness News Reporter cleve bryan live in upper darby tonight with the latest on the search and also reaction from horrified eye witnesses. Cleve. Reporter natasha, the authorities here in upper darby say the pursuit began outside of their jurisdiction and that the dirt bike driver came flying down 69th street here on this hill and then smashed into the grandmother and granddaughter at the next crosswalk. Now, we talked to many eye witnesses here who described the girls condition in particular as being heart wrenching. She was the one who got hit cause the tire marks was all on her side. Reporter First Responders worked quickly saturday afternoon. I seen it coming. I seen it coming cause of the way he was flying. Street. It was passing cars by riding along the double yellow line in the middle of the road. Near a Pedestrian Crossing the dirt bike slammed into the child and her grandmother. He hit both of them. They went flying in the air and then he flew off the bike. Reporter the dirt bike driver left the sixyearold girl and her grandmother in the middle of the street and continued to try and evade authorities. The operator of this Motor Vehicle gets off it with a knife, pulls a knife out and carjacks a vehicle. Reporter that stolen vehicle was and abandoned a few blocks a wane the driver managed to flee again. A lot of people are coming forward to say what they saw so hopefully we get the perpetrator. I was heartbroken because that could have been anybody. That could have been my family. Like people like on these dirt bikes they really dont care about pedestrians or anything like ....
