Jan 13, 2021 EAST LIVERPOOL In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Brycen M. Douglas, of Clark Avenue in Wellsville, was set March 17 for a jury trial on an assault charge. He is set March 9 for a status hearing on this case. Andre L. Owens Sr., of Warren, was sentenced to $250 plus costs on a disorderly conduct, which was reduced from a drug paraphernalia, charge. A review hearing was set for Feb. 12. Thomas W. Martin, of Boring Lane, was sentenced to $450 plus costs on charges of reckless operation, reduced from an OVI charge; expired license and expired plates. A review hearing is set for Jan. 19. ....

EAST LIVERPOOL A Southern Local school board member took a plea deal Tuesday afternoon in East Liverpool Municipal Court. Judge Dominic Frank fined Patricia Exline, of 10th Street Extension, Wellsville, $150 on a charge of disorderly conduct, reduced from first-degree misdemeanor theft. She also was given a 30-day suspended jail sentence. Frank gave her option of paying an additional $200 in lieu of completing her mandated 20-hour community service hours ($10 per hour). ....

Hawthorne, 38, Garner Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 18 months in prison on drug-related charges, after Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam denied his request to withdraw his guilty pleas. Defense attorney Joseph King said he spoke to Hawthorne recently in East Liverpool Municipal Court and Hawthorne indicated he wanted to withdraw his guilty pleas in two Common Pleas Court cases. However, King said Hawthorne failed to come to his office to discuss the possible change of plea and the probation department also reported Hawthorne failed to report to their office for his appointment so a presentencing investigation could be completed. ....

Forrner, 25, of Youngstown, who is charged with three counts of drug possession and one count of tampering with evidence. Municipal LISBON In county Municipal Court Monday, Duane I. Barnes, 50, of Salem, was fined and sentenced to jail on charges of violating a protection order and traffic offenses. On the protection order charge, he was fined $250 and sentenced to 90 days in the county jail, with credit for eight days already served. For driving under suspension, distracted driving and failure to control, Barnes was fined $300. ....
