LISBON Todd A. Hawthorne, 38, Garner Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 18 months in prison on drug-related charges, after Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam denied his request to withdraw his guilty pleas.
Defense attorney Joseph King said he spoke to Hawthorne recently in East Liverpool Municipal Court and Hawthorne indicated he wanted to withdraw his guilty pleas in two Common Pleas Court cases. However, King said Hawthorne failed to come to his office to discuss the possible change of plea and the probation department also reported Hawthorne failed to report to their office for his appointment so a presentencing investigation could be completed.

LISBON In county Municipal Court Monday, Duane I. Barnes, 50, of Salem, was fined and sentenced to jail on charges of violating a protection order and traffic offenses. On the protection order charge, he was fined $250 and sentenced to 90 days in the county jail, with credit for eight days already served. For driving under suspension, distracted driving and failure to control, Barnes was fined $300.
Michael J. Harroff, 38, of East Palestine, pleaded innocent to disorderly conduct charges, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for March 25.
Todd A. Hawthorne, 38, of East Liverpool, had his arraigned continued to Jan. 11. He is charged with marijuana possession.

LISBON A secret indictment issued by the county grand jury was served on Breasia M. Forrner, 25, of Youngstown, who is charged with three counts of drug possession and one count of tampering with evidence.
