The city of Avondale Estates has been without a full-time finance director since March and has been using two consultants to handle the work in the interim.
The Avondale Estates City Commission is considering an amendment to the zoning code that would reduce the required street-side side yard setbacks for corner lots for properties zoned R-12 and R-24.
After two unsuccessful searches to find a finance director, the city of Avondale Estates will work with Mercer Group Associates to conduct the search and help fill the position.
