The union representing Sacramento staff slammed the Sacramento City Unified School District after its meeting Sunday morning, saying the district is refusing to negotiate with SCTA and SEIU at the same time.
After several days of no negotiations, the Sacramento City Unified School District and local SEIU 1021 chapter met at the bargaining table Saturday afternoon amid pressure from state and local officials. However, district officials do not have a time set to meet with SCTA.
The strike by Sacramento City Unified School District teachers and staff is now in its third day, without a deal in sight. SCUSD declined a Friday meeting with the state superintendent and asked the union to counter the district s latest offer.
The Sacramento City Unified School District approved the Food Literacy Center, a non-profit corporation, as operator of the Floyd Farm and it will be up and running next year!
