On the 18th day of March 2022, Robert Charles Sharkey passed from this earthly life into that eternal life promised to all who believe and have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Robert was born in Duluth, MN on August 15th, 1934, to his parents, Charles William and Ella Sharkey, Robert being the eldest of two sons. Robert attended Grant Elementary, Washington Middle School, and Central High School all in Duluth, graduating in 1952. He later graduated from the Minnesota School of Banking at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN in 1972. He was employed by the Mobil Oil Corporation as an area representative in North Dakota and Montana until 1967. From 1967 through 1987, Robert was employed by the Western National Bank of Duluth as a Commercial Loan Officer, retiring on June 2nd, 1987, following 20 years of Commercial Finance.
