Nearly 400,000 square feet of distribution facility space is being proposed on 35 acres off McEver Road in South Hall. The project was denied by Flowery Branch but developers are now seeking the go-ahead from the city of Buford.
A proposed 396,900 square feet of warehouse space denied by the Flowery Branch City Council in December now could move forward as a part of the city of Buford, instead.
Neighbors still oppose the project at 6533 McEver Road, including through a petition circulating online.
CA-Ventures is seeking an annexation and rezoning of the property, set to go before the Buford Planning Commission at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 9. ....

What was once a bed and breakfast is now a home where women struggling with addiction can seek long-term recovery.
Lightway Recovery opened officially in August and serves as a sister nonprofit to the Gwinnett-based resource center, Navigate Recovery.
