Inside, person after person was left trying to figure out why. Just walk out with such an overwhelming feeling of what a terrible waste of two great human buildings lives. The family members and fellow officers had a private viewing earlier this week. Tonight, a chance for friends, and strangers to start the healing process. Tremendous. Were told 20 years ago the departments first narcotics dog was poisoned through the window of a patrol car. That dog survived but was forced to retire. Reporting live in richmond, im jodi hernandez, nbc bay area news. We have new information about that deadly lion attack near fresno. It happened just after noon today at cat haven. Thats an Animal Sanctuary located about 45 miles east of fresno. The founder of the park says a worker, an intern, went into the lion enclosure and the lion, a 4 ye4yearold cat, attacked and killed her. Sheriffs deputies shot and killed the animal. Cat haven is licensed by fish and wildlife. The 100acre animal park opened in 1993 and is open to the public. Tonight, were hearing for the first time from former lapd police chief bill bratton.
