This is video from yesterdays one the whole bizarre case started yesterday at around 530 yesterday morning the coast guard received a call of theyve boat in distress off of linda maar beach. And eventually they discovered three people had stolen the boat and were still on their during the process. It took several hours and eventually the three people were caught off of the boat and taken into custody. Why they took of boat is being questioned and how much damage ihas been done to the boat. The owner of the vote was watching tv and saw the report of the boat stuck off of linda mar beach. A strange case. It woman woke up to find this man standing over her bed in her home near south brook drive just to the west of 101. The woman screamed, the man ran out of the back door. The woman get a good description to police. They found this 21 yearold man near the victims home and arrested him. His car was outside of the womans home. He is a registered sex offender he was wearing a monitoring bracelet on his ankle at the time of his arrest. And other big story is wall street. Crews work over night to save a stolen yacht that ran aground in pacifica we brought you this story lives on the kron 4 morning news yesterdays. The three people accused of stealing the 80 ft. The yacht is on a crane and out of the water. That is the captain. You can see the ruter behind that is part of the boat that was damaged. The boat was towed in at about 530 this morning. It was put on the crane and taking out of the water to survey the damage. You can see the damage from sitting in basically the sand for several hours yesterdays. This 80 ft. Yacht that eventually we discovered was stolen. Here is video from yesterdays. The first call without around 530 yesterday morning that a boat was stuck off linda, mar beach in pacifica. They figured out that the boat had been stoolen. The dollar was watching tv and figured that was his boat. Three people were on board the whole time. It was well afternoon when they got of the people off the boat. The people were taken into custody that is where there are now. The boat itself in that san off when the mar beach until about 130 this morning. They were able to free it and tell it to pacifica and richmond where it sits. I had a chance to talk to the general manager at bay marine boat works. He said surprisingly there is not in lot of heavy damage. The ke ll and the plo and also the rutter has damage. He will get an inspector to do a closer look over the boat to see what may or may not be wrong with it. Considering it was stuck in the sand for about 12 hours yesterdays he says it is in good shape. Obviously that will look over it with a fine tooth comb. The three people are sitting in jail. It does not look like a boat that anyone does get out and take sailing. You wonder if they knew what they were doing the way they ran aground. I would say i would personally not steal a vote. They do not know if there were actually sailing the boat the word is that perhaps they were using the votes motor in that is what got stuck in the sand the propeller in the back of the vote. Six days after a broken water mains sent water gushing through a west portal neighborhood, a red tag are going up. Officials warn that the ground beneath the homes is still moving. Those live in the area say their concerns are growing now with the rain in the forecast. The ground is expanding and getting bigger every day. We can still open and close our windows and doors but the house is moving for sure. The house has shifted. The doors or in the opening by themselves or they did not close properly. We just found a void below our foundations lab. City crews say the ground is not dried out and some shipping will continue until it does. That drying process could take weeks or months.
