The board took steps at its June 10 meeting to finally revise its policy on cell phone use on school property before publishing its middle/high school parent-student handbook and classes resume.
The WDC High School chapter of the Business Professionals of America participated in the state conference in March. Four state champions and 11 advanced to the national conference in Chicago in May.
Cell phone use continued to dominate the Wadena-Deer Creek School Board meeting on May 20 after the Minnesota House of Representatives passed a bill requiring schools to adopt cell phone policies.
