Our friend Fuego is going to get a win at some point. I know he is. However, I do not think his first win is going to come against THE BEST MAN. He’s the best. Miro just destroyed poor Fuego in this match and forced him to tap out at 2:36. We even had Charles Taylor playing his role to perfection.

Episode 72 of
AEW Dark featured Santana & Ortiz getting their edge back and Peter Avalon may have a new monster-sized associate by his side.
There were two notable moments during the show courtesy of Santana & Ortiz and Peter Avalon. We’ll start with Proud and Powerful. They cut a promo about it being their time to eat. Consider that fair warning and beware. Santana & Ortiz backed up their words with an aggressive victory over Mike Verna & Ryzin. They disposed of Verna via assisted DVD. The win was so dominant that Ryzin never had a chance to tag into the ring.
The Big Takeaways:
It’s Tuesday and you know what that means.
Excalibur, Taz, and Anthony Ogogo opened the show. Ogogo was in and out on commentary and barely to be noticed.
Ricky Starks (w/ Hook) def. Mike Verna (3:26)
Hook walked Starks out and then went back to the locker room. Excalibur needled Taz on commentary about the potential of Starks being forced into a title match with Brian Cage should Cage beat Darby Allin in the TNT title match Wednesday. Starks gave Verna a little bit here and there, but mostly dominated the match. Verna got a near fall with a powerslam, but Starks finished him off with a spear.
