i m katie phang. we start today s show with more new evidence from the january 6th committee. they ve released more transcripts today, including interviews with critical players like donald trump s son don junior and top adviser stephen miller. miller admitted being told of a march to the capitol, telling the committee, quote, i think there might be, like, a plan for there to be a, you know, a peaceful walk to the capitol. the transcripts also revealing don junior was perturbed by the capitol insurrection. the committee questioning him about a text he wrote to meadows advise them to consemithis s stuff, don junior saying he was referring to the violence that s going on. even noting the hypocrisy of it all, saying, i spent the last 18 months call out violence and looting. but the committee alleges trump knew about the violence and didn t want to stop it. remember this critical testimony from former white house aide cassidy hutchinson. i overheard the president say somethin
dividing line. when police officers don t show up to work, they get fired. that s how it should be for senators, too. as chief, i showed up every day and rereduced violent crime by 40%. marco rubio is one of the worst at showing up. and when he does, he hurts florida. instead of voting to condemn radicals who want to abolish police, demings refused. that s not just wrong. it s dangerous. maybe she used to be a cop, but in washington val demings is just another radical rubber stamp. new and important reporting on the justice department s case against donald trump. cnn is now learning this: federal investigators had already served a grand jury subpoena back in june at mar-a-lago. at that meeting the fbi took away sensitive national security documents. so then why the unprecedented search warrant this week? well, cnn is told the fbi developed evidence in part through at least one witness that there were still classified documents stashed at the wall pam palm beach reso
particularly for students and even more so for younger students. let me explain. we ve been talking about this idea for some time. it s now official from the cdc. but they re specifically saying for all students, elementary school students, they can maintain just three feet apart when mask use is universal regardless of what is happening with community transmission. that s for elementary school students. so that s going to be a big deal. but they also say, kate, that for middle school and high school students, they should still maintain at least six feet apart if the community tr transmission in their community is high. so making a difference between older and younger students. for all elementary schools, regardless where you live in the country, guidance is now going to be three feet. but if you happen to live in a community where community transmission is high still, at about 41% roughly of counties in the united states do have high transmission, if you live in one of those
