The Daily Jeffersonian SALESVILLE A barn on Leatherwood Road in eastern Guernsey County and its contents were destroyed by fire late Thursday night. A 911 caller to the Guernsey County Sheriff s Office at 10:51 p.m. reported the structure was gully engulfed. At 11:29 p.m., a firefighter at the scene reported a catastrophic collapse of the barn, trapping fire hoses being used by firefighters. The firefighter also reported gas tanks inside the structure were popping. The barn owner, identified as 67-year-old Anthony J. Joe Cosgrave, told a sheriff s deputy he was in the barn approximately 10 minutes before a passerby alerted him to the fire. ....
