Its interesting before and during the second world war, many europeans purchased insurance policies to protect their assets and loved ones. While many of these individuals perished as victims of the holocaust, those who survived and the heirs of those who did not have sent attempted to collect the proceeds from those policies. However, beneficiaries have found it difficult to collect on these policies. Because the paperwork had often been left behind or destroyed during the genocide.
