In their meeting Tuesday night, the GSC passed a bylaw change to allow for greater leeway on the application of election sanctions. Members of the GSC also received updates on a committee related to Cardinal Care affordability.
Following months of GSC-spearheaded advocacy on affordability and accessibility, the Marguerite Shopping Express returned to campus Friday as part of a one-year pilot program. The Shopping Express will run on weekends between Stanford campus, the Palo Alto Transit Center and the San Antonio Shopping Center in Mountain View.
At its Thursday meeting, the Faculty Senate unilaterally approved revisions to the Honor Code that would explicitly allow exam proctoring. Their action marks the end to the over 102-year precedent of “shared governance” on academic integrity between Stanford faculty and students by circumventing a student vote on the matter.
