RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - The growth rate of Rutherford County between January 1, 2010 and January 1 of 2021, has equaled approximately 730 new residents per month. Although county officials suggest the COVID Pandemic throttled growth by 73-fewer residents monthly, equaling a growth rate of 657 new residents monthly in 2019. LaVergne Man Killed in Nashville Auto Accident Tuesday

NASHVILLE,  TENN. - A man from LaVergne, TN has died following Tuesday mornings crash in Antioch at 9:30 a.m. The accident occurred on Bell Road near Smith Springs Road. The preliminary investigation by Metro Police indicates a Honda Accord was traveling northbound when it began to drift, crossing the double yellow lines and struck a Freightliner semi truck head-on.

Rutherford County Continues to Have Low Unemployment Rate - Smyrna Maintains Lowest Rate in County


RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TENN – Ninety-three of Tennessee’s 95 counties recorded lower unemployment rates in August 2023, according to new data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD). Unemployment for the month remained unchanged in Cheatham and Lauderdale counties. Ninety-three counties recorded rates below 5% in August, while two had rates slightly above the 5% mark.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Three Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies who saved a man from his burning house received medals Thursday from the Stones River Chapter of the Tennessee Society Sons of the American Revolution.
