Lawsuitshave been filed over it including one in berkeley where residents argued there has to be some give and take here. Well this week, a judge took away the temporary restraining order that prevented the city from sweeping them out of a oneblock area at 8th and harrison. But as kelsi thorud reports, the judge also had something to give. Reporter the City Council Meeting held a Public Safety meeting and in the audience was one of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit suing the city over its sweeping of a nearby encampment.
